Tech. Activities Asian classification societies

Mr. V.ARORA, IRS, attended as ACS representative at the IOMOU Open Forum on 4th September 2014 at Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.

The Open Forum was Chaired by Mr.Francois Beaugrand, Chairman of the Port State Control Committee to IOMOU and Mr. Dilip Mehrotra, Secretary IOMOU.

ACS made a presentation on Introduction to ACS and read out the ACS submission paper, as attached, for exchanging views with Industry w.r.t

• Provision of a more detailed data and statistics on detainable deficiencies

• Notification of deficiencies/detentions to Classification Society and RO.

Subsequent to the presentation, the Secretary stated that they will review the submission amongst the members.
